Substance before coverage
A space is only covered when there is enough behind it to describe honestly. Anything thinner than that is left out, which is why the directory is short rather than comprehensive — and why it grows slowly.
Coliving Balkans covers coliving spaces, towns and the practicalities of staying four weeks or longer in the Balkans. It is not a booking platform, not a pure directory, and not a pure review site.
The gap between the first two figures is the honest state of the project: the scope is real, most of it simply isn't covered yet. A region with nothing in it says so rather than being padded out with guesswork.

Where a figure comes from an operator rather than a measurement, the page says so in the same breath as the number. Where sources contradict each other — and on opening hours and internet speeds they often do — you get the contradiction, not an average.
Most of these places are still on the list rather than behind us — we intend to stay in them, and until we have, the page says so where you are reading rather than in a disclaimer nobody opens. Where something has not been researched yet, it says that too, and none of it should be trusted until it does.
Timetables, opening hours and visa rules move faster here than in most of Europe. Everything carries a date so you can judge how stale it is, and visa rules — the fastest-rotting facts of the lot — are kept apart from the places they apply to.
Several of the countries covered here would rather not be filed under it, and the reasons are older and better than a website can settle. The term is used here because it is the one most people outside the region associate with these countries, not because it describes anything the region itself agrees about. Each country is covered on its own terms.
