Atmosphere & community

Thirteen rooms in a garden compound, fifteen kilometres inland from the sea.

Burgas Coliving opened in 2022 in Vetren, a village fifteen kilometres inland from Burgas, and runs thirteen bedrooms and nine bathrooms out of a building set in a large garden — zoned like a small town, with a working area, a sports area and a games area marked out. Somebody writing here stayed six weeks in the summer of 2026, and what that stay settled — along with what it did not — is on its own page below. Everything else here is still somebody else’s account and should be read as one.

The workspace is better specified than most: two coworking rooms and a dedicated call room with round-the-clock access, more than two hundred square metres of communal space behind them, and open-air desks in the garden for the months that allow it. The programme is the selling point rather than the furniture — skillshares, feedback sessions, family dinners, BBQs, movie and game nights, bonfire evenings, tastings and day trips. Guest reviews add group workouts, yoga and beach days. What is optional and what everyone actually turns up to is not something a listing can tell you.

A fortnight was accepted as a booking in summer 2026, whatever the minimum stay is said to be. Quiet hours run eleven to eight, waivable if the whole house agrees — which is either charming or ominous, depending on the house.

The practicalities

Internet

600–650 Mb/s claimed

The operator's own figure, and it disagrees with itself from one page to the next; elsewhere it is given as 100/100. Nobody has measured it. A six-week stay in 2026 never had cause to.

Rooms

13 across the house

Eight double, five single, nine bathrooms. Headcount varies by source from ten to twenty-one.

Workspace

Two rooms + call booth

24/7 access, plus 200 m² of common areas and open-air desks in the garden.

The sea

~20 min by bus

The beaches and the city centre are both a bus ride. The airport is also about fifteen kilometres out.

Spa

Mineral pool nearby

Vetren sits in one of Bulgaria's oldest spa areas. Springs worked since antiquity.

The block around it

The distance is the whole proposition, and it costs you every spontaneous evening in town. Guests describe a twenty-minute bus ride to reach Burgas city centre and the beaches, with the airport also around fifteen kilometres out. What is local is genuinely local — a park, grocery shops, a pharmacy, a bakery, and a mineral-water pool and spa centre in one of Bulgaria's oldest spa areas, where the springs have been worked for something like two and a half thousand years. If you want to walk to the sea after work, this is the wrong house. If you want a garden compound and a quiet village, the bus is a reasonable trade.
